Dear Parents, Students, and Fellow Educators,

My name is Chad Stuckey, and I am the founder and CEO of Backyard Barn Owls Tutoring.

After 29 years as a math teacher—along with many additional years of private tutoring—I’ve seen firsthand how challenging it can be for families to find the right academic support for their children. Throughout my career, parents repeatedly asked me for tutor recommendations. Unfortunately, all I could offer was a sheet of collected names—many of whom I didn’t personally know or couldn’t confidently recommend.

At the same time, as a tutor listed at the high schools in my hometown, I found myself competing alongside individuals with little to no professional qualifications. Families were left to sort through a mixed pool of tutors without clear guidance on experience, expertise, or credibility.

That didn’t sit right with me.

​

So I decided to create a solution.

Backyard Barn Owls Tutoring was built to solve this two-fold problem:

• To give parents a trusted place to find highly qualified, professional educators to support their children.

• To provide experienced educators a professional platform where they can offer their services and collaborate among peers who uphold strong standards of excellence.​

This agency represents everything I believe education should be—trustworthy, professional, student-centered, and grounded in experience. My goal is to bring confidence and clarity to families seeking support, while elevating the tutoring profession by connecting skilled educators with the students who need them most.
